Patch Picks: Reading Athletes of Note

With an invitation to add your own.

For this week’s Patch Picks, we asked you which Reading athletes deserve a little extra recognition this year—but it seems most of you weren’t interested in sharing.

“Jeremy’s excellent goalkeeping skills are a key factor in the soccer team’s strong improvement over last year,” Jacobs said.

Over on our Facebook page, Chrissie Flaherty recommended that we recognize RMHS junior Morgan O’Brien, who has been a “stand-out volleyball and basketball player.”

Culling from our own Records, has been labeled an “impact player" and "game changer” this year.

The school’s swim team, coming off its championship season last year, has come back strong. It won its last meet , where Reading resident Paula Berger reported that “Standout junior Amanda Adreani led the way this time with strong wins in the 200 IM (2:20.43) and the 100 breaststroke (1:15.80).”

We know, though, that that’s not ALL of Reading’s recognition-deserving student athletes. Add your favorite who we missed in the comments below.
