The pedestrian struck by a car last week in Reading remains in an area hospital as police continue to investigate the collision.
Reading Police Deputy Chief Mark Segalla said he cannot release the name of the victim for privacy reasons, but that the man remained hospitalized as of Friday, Jan. 16.
The man, described as a young man, but of adult age by Segalla, was crossing Main Street near Starbucks at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, when he was struck by a gray Chrysler Sebring. The driver of the vehicle, an adult female, was not injured in the crash.

Segalla said the investigation is in the hands of state police and could take several more weeks to complete. No charges have been filed at this time.
