Police Report Stolen License Plates, and Make Two Arrests

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the from Wednesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

Josephine P. Russo, 44, of 54 Amelia Place, Revere, was arrested Wednesday and charged with operating under the influence of drugs.

Mohammad A. Hamdi, 20, of 5 Colby Court, North Andover, was arrested on a warrant Thursday night after a traffic stop on Main Street.

Wednesday

At 6:30 a.m., police responded to a minor two-car accident on Haverhill Street by the Reading line. No injuries were reported.

At 12:46 p.m., a resident reported receiving a suspicious phone call.

At 3:32 p.m., a Beverly man reported a license plate was stolen from his vehicle.

At 4:33 p.m., a walk-in at the police station reported receiving a threatening phone call.

At 5:54 p.m., a walk-in at the police station reported that she noticed the license plate was stolen from her vehicle and replaced with another plate.

Thursday

At 8:45 a.m., police responded to a report of a two-car accident on Hancock Street. 

At 1:06 p.m., police responded to a medical-aid call at at 43 Main St. after receiving a report of an elderly woman falling.

At 2:19 p.m., a vehicle became stuck in a snowbank at . Police assisted in freeing the car.

At 5:11 p.m., police responded to a medical-aid call at a Main Street address.

At 6:45 p.m., police received a call reporting a car on fire inside the garage of North Shore Axle & Machine Inc., 126 Main St. The responded and extinguished the fire.
