PHOTO GALLERY: Track Teams Excel in Seeding Meet

The boys and girls indoor track teams from competed Monday night in a seeding meet between Middlesex League teams at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury.

Several Reading athletes had strong individual performances, including senior Brad Porter, who crossed the line in first place in the boys 1000-meter run with a time of two minutes, 35 seconds.

Senior Nick Scali took first place in the boys high jump, clearing the bar at six feet even. Scali also finished second in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.88 seconds.

In the girls' competitions, Tyquanya True placed third in the shot put with a distance of 30 feet, 2.5 inches. Monique Doyle finished fifth in the 55-meter dash with a time of eight seconds.
