Police Address School Bus Concerns
The department has heard concern about motorists failing to stop for buses.

School is back in session, but some motorists appear to be ignoring that fact.
Recently, the Reading Police Department has heard from several people concerned with motorists failing to stop for school buses. More specifically, these motorists are failing to stop for school buses when their safety lights are on.
For the most part, the buses where there seem to be issues are the smaller, white vans.

They have flashing lights and should be treated in the same manner in which a motorist would approach a traditional yellow school bus, according to police.
Police department officials said they will be conducting an enforcement campaign to make sure drivers are stopping for the flashing lights of the white school vans.
