Police Investigate Apparent Suicide In Area Of Reading Business

READING, MA — Police are investigating following a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Reading business.

Police were dispatched at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday to 70 Walkers Brook Drive, which is listed as a Chili's restaurant.

A U.S. Postal Service worker in the area made the call to police.

First responders found the person, who was declared dead at the scene of the incident.

Police said the incident is being investigated as an apparent suicide.

There is no danger to the public, but the community was advised to avoid the area Tuesday afternoon.
