PURITAN LAWN MEMORIAL PARK HOLDS 26th ANNUAL CANDLELIGHT SERVICE

Despite the cold, attendance was strong at Puritan's 26th Annual Candlelight Service. A $1,150 donation was made to The Haven from Hunger.

On December 7th, 2014, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park held its 26th Annual Candlelight Service. Prior to the service, family members decorated the fifty foot Christmas tree in memory of their loved ones. The Masconomet Chamber Choir and Chorale sang holiday music, while members of the Puritan Lawn community recited short readings and poems. Alyse Barbash from Hunger From Haven in Peabody was presented with a check for $1,150 which was a combination of donations from Puritan Lawn families as well as a matching donation from Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Puritan Lawn Memorial is a 140 acre cemetery situated on the shores of Lake Suntaug, Forest Lake and Winona Reservoir in Peabody. Since 1933, Puritan Lawn, the oldest memorial park cemetery east of the Mississippi river has been dedicated to providing plan-ahead information to area families.
