Reading Board Approves Site Plans For Mosque

READING, MA — The Community Planning and Development Commission has unanimously approved a site plan to renovate and construct a mosque and educational center, according to The Reading Post. The plan, from the North American Foundation of Islamic Services, is for 25 Haven St., which was previously the Reading Municipal Light Department and more recently a Rite Aid pharmacy.

The site is listed on the town's inventory of historic structures, and is the only art deco building remaining in town.
