Reading Boys' Hockey To Face Rival Winchester

It took an extra three days but the Reading boys' hockey team finally has an opponent.

Following Saturday's pairings announcement and Monday's Super 8 play-in games, Division 1 North was finally seeded and the Rockets are the 10th and final seed in the field. Reading will face the No. 7 seed, Middlesex Rival Winchester, on Wednesday at the Chelmsford Forum at 6 p.m. The teams have played twice this year with the Sachems winning each game 3-2.

The winner of the first round game will face No. 2 seed St. Mary's in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Following is the seeding for Division 1 North: 1. Arlington (12-5-4); 2. St. Mary's (12-6-4); 3. Newburyport (12-3-6); 4. Waltham (14-5-2); 5. Medford (12-4-4); 6. Austin Prep (13-7-1); 7. Winchester (12-7-2); 8. Belmont (10-6-4); 9. Melrose (11-8-1); 10. Reading (10-8-2).
