The Church of the Good Shepherd is inviting the community to the events.

The following announcement was submitted to Patch.
Church of the Good Shepherd, a welcoming Episcopal Church in Reading, Massachusetts, will be exhibiting for the second year at the Reading Friends & Family Day on Saturday, June 13, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Since 2004, the Reading Lions Club has sponsored and organized this event, which brings the community together for fun enjoyed by all ages along with an opportunity to find out about local organizations, town government and businesses. The fair, which is held in the fields along Birch Meadow Drive in Reading, includes lots of foods, crafts, games, giveaways and entertainment from a variety of local vendors. Find us at the fair to learn more about our great church.

Then, on Sunday, June 14 at 10 a.m., Church of the Good Shepherd will hold its annual outdoor children’s service at Ipswich River Park in North Reading. The service will begin at 10 a.m., with a barbecue picnic following. Families and friends from Reading, North Reading, Andover and other local communities are invited and encouraged to attend this special service to join in our celebration of our faith in God and to learn more about what makes Church of the Good Shepherd such an inviting community.
“The children in our congregation play a very large part in this annual outdoor service, from doing the readings to singing the songs,” said Rev. Mary “Scottie” Wagner. “This fun and more casual service enables us to come together as a larger community to celebrate God’s love and all that He provides us – including the return of beautiful, warm spring weather! We look forward to seeing everyone from our congregation, as well as meeting with those looking to learn more about our church at this event.”
