Reading Citizens' Police Academy Begins This Month
Participants will learn about investigations, firearms, less lethal options, dispatch procedures, traffic, and more.
READING, MA — The Reading Police Department will begin its Annual Citizen Police Academy this month.
The department posted the following on Facebook:
"Join us for our Annual Citizen Police Academy starting in September! Meet a variety of your local officers as well get a tour of the station, see the inside and outside of police cruisers, learn about investigations, firearms, less lethal options, dispatch procedures, traffic & safety and current scams and how to avoid them via classroom teaching and demonstrations. Participants will also get to meet the Reading Police Department's comfort dogs Cooper and Rusty as well as our K-9 Tango. This is an amazing program with rave reviews, space is limited, sign up today!"
