Reading Commission Reviews Mixed-Use Project

A town commission extended a public hearing on a commercial-residential project pitched for Main Street, according to a report.

READING, MA — The Community Planning & Development Commission is reviewing a proposed redevelopment of 348 Main St., according to The Reading Post.

The site's owner is proposing to demolish the three-story office building at the site and replace it with a four-story mixed-use development. The first floor would be commercial space with 15 residential units on the upper three floors.

Some commission members expressed reservations about the project.
