Reading Cooperative Bank Donates to Wilmington Food Pantry

Wilmington, MA - Reading Cooperative Bank employees recently made a donation to the Wilmington Food Pantry in connection with their monthly Dress Down for Charity Day. RCB employees are invited to “dress down” in exchange for a contribution to a local charitable organization. The employee contributions are matched by the Reading Cooperative Charitable Foundation. Rober DiPalma (right), Founder of the Wilmington Food Pantry, gratefully accepted the donation from Nancy Brown, Branch Manager of Reading Cooperative Bank in Wilmington.

“This is a wonderful way for us, as employees of Reading Cooperative Bank, to give back to the community. By donating to the food pantry, we are making a real difference in the lives of local families,” said Brown.

The Wilmington Food Pantry, located in the Old South School House at 142 Chestnut Street, is run by the Wilmington Community Fund. The WCF services the pantry by supplying food products on a bi-monthly basis and helping those in need of assistance - especially around the holidays. The food pantry shelves are stocked solely by community donations.
