Reading Cooperative Bank Sponsors Andover Cares Festival in the Park

Andover, MA – RCB is proud to announce its $1,000 Gold Level Sponsorship of the Andover Cares Festival that took place on October 17th next to town hall. In addition to live music, entertainment and family fun, all funds from the festival went to the “Andover Cares Fund” to support the community’s efforts to end the heroin crisis.

Gladys Martinez, Andover Branch Manager, stated “The growing heroin epidemic here in Andover is a major source of concern for our community. Because of this, I am happy that we at RCB are doing all that we can to help find a solution.”

Maureen Bernard, RCB VP/Residential Loan Officer and Rotary Club of Andover member added, “This drug crisis is an issue that affects not only Andover, but the surrounding communities as well. Raising awareness is the first step towards finding a solution, and I am proud to aid in the fight against addiction.”

The festival, put on by the Rotary Club of Andover, is an educational and fundraising event to raise awareness of the heroin crisis plaguing the community while also helping to solve this problem. The club is also selling Heroin Crisis: Andover Cares buttons to raise funds to support their educational campaign.
