Reading Library Plans Vehicle Day

The event is part of the Reading Public Library's "Read Beyond the Beaten Path" summer reading initiative.

READING, MA – The Reading Library will host a vehicle day next month in its library parking lot, showcasing an array of cars, trucks and emergency vehicles

The event is set for Aug. 9 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. It will take place rain or shine.

“Come see all of the amazing vehicles that make Reading so exciting!” the library said in an event announcement on its website.

This marks the 23rd annual running of the vehicle day program. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Reading Public Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Boston Bruins.

It is part of the Reading Public Library’s “Read Beyond the Beaten Path” summer reading initiative, which runs through Aug. 13. The initiative includes group and individual incentives for community members to read and log their reading time with the library.
