Reading Man Dies After Brick Attack: DA

READING, MA — A Reading man died Monday morning after what police believe was an assault with a brick in Lynn Sunday morning, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said.

The 39-year-old man was walking with another man on Blake Street in Lynn at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The two were assaulted by two other men.

Police believe the Reading man was struck with a brick. He was transported to a Boston hospital and died Monday.

The other man was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made. Authorities are investigating.
