The charges stem from the Dec. 27, 2016 armed robbery of the P&S Convenience Store on Lowell Street and the Dec. 29, 2016 armed robbery of JK's market on Main Street.

Chief Segalla praised Reading Police Detectives for their hard work in bringing these cases to a successful conclusion.

"This is a example of fine detective work in tracking down leads and ultimately arresting a suspect who attempted to hide his identity during his crimes," Chief Segalla said.

Leonard will be arraigned in Woburn District Court.
