Reading Public Schools 2016 Winter Vacation Dates

2016 is coming to a close, and that means students will have some time away from school. Here are some important school dates to know.

READING, MA — The kids probably can't wait, but you sure can. Here's some important school dates to know about going forward this winter.

According to the Reading Public Schools calendar, students will have school on Dec. 23. The vacation will begin after school on the 23rd, and will continue through the following week.

New Year's Day is the following Sunday, so it is being observed on Monday, Jan. 2. Students return to school Tuesday, Jan. 3.

All in all, the students will be off starting on Dec. 24 and will return to school Jan. 3.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will have students off on Monday, Jan. 16. Students in grades 6-12 will be released early on Dec. 11.
