Reading Residents Should Expect Discoloration Of Water, Town Says

READING, MA — The town has started to fill the Auburn Street Water Tank.

The initial filling of the tank will be during the next several days. The town said residents should expect discoloration in the water due to the disturbance of rust in the water mains.

The water is safe to drink, according to the town. Residents should limit washing light-colored clothing if they experience rusty water.
