It's not a surprise, we knew it was coming, but the date has become official. Reading's two Rite Aid Pharmacies will become Walgreens on January 17.Walgreen's purchase of Rite Aid began in 2015 and has been on, off, and tweaked along the way. Walgreen's ended up purchasing approximately half the Rite Aid stores, including the Reading stores on Haven and Bolton Streets.
