Reading Softball Edged by Visiting Woburn

Though the Reading High School softball team hung close with visiting Woburn on Friday afternoon, the Rockets didn't have quite enough fire power at the plate to come out with a victory.

Woburn took the lead early and held it throughout, going on to a 4-1 victory over the locals.

With the setback, Reading is now 11-7 on the year with a 6-4 mark in Middlesex League play. Woburn, meanwhile, improved to 11-8 on the year, one spot behind the Rockets in the standings with a 4-6 league record.
