Reading Town Meeting Approves Fieldhouse Renovations
Town meeting overwhelmingly approved $1.9 million to overhaul the high school athletic facility, according to a report.
READING, MA — Town meeting endorsed a $1.9 million plan to overhaul the Reading Memorial High School Fieldhouse, according to The Daily Times Chronicle.
Members voted unanimously for a measure that transferred $200,000 in town funds to design the project and authorized borrowing another $1.7 million for construction, slated to begin in June of next year.
The project calls for replacing the defective fieldhouse floor and installing new automated bleachers.
