Reading Woman Accused Of Stealing Package Of Prescription Medication

READING, MA — A Reading woman is facing theft and drug charges, according to police. Michelle Dallesandro, 59, was charged with larceny of over $1,200, malicious destruction, and illegal possession of a class E substance.

Police responded to a call Friday at a house on Gould Street for a report of a package that had been tampered with in the building's mailroom.

Police determined the package, which contained prescription medication, had been opened and its contents had been removed.

Police investigated and found that a woman, later identified as Dallesandro, a resident of the building, removed the package from the mailroom, stole the medication, then later returned the opened package, according to police.

Dallesandro was arrested without incident and arraigned Friday in Woburn District Court.
