Reading's Eleanor Kashian Passes Away
Longtime town resident was a dedicated member of St. Agnes Church.

Eleanor "Ellie" Kashian (Dacey) of Reading, died peacefully at CareOne in Concord on Dec. 23 at the age of 84.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Karen Kashian of Concord; Leo Kashian of Caribou ME; and Jeffrey Kashian of Phoenix AZ; her grandchildren Christine Sunderland of Greensburg, PA; Kelly Kashian of Bangor, ME; Erin Kashian of Bangor, ME; and Michael Kashian of Caribou, ME; and her great-grandchild Oliver Sunderland of Greensburg, PA. She is preceded in death by her sister Rita Dacey of Everett; and her brother John R. Dacey of Brockton.
Eleanor was born on January 30, 1934 in Everett to Rita and M. Joseph Dacey. She graduated from Everett High School in 1952 and was married to Walter “Bud” Kashian in 1953. She retired from the Reading Town Hall Retirement Office in February of 1999. Her children remember her as a strong, caring, and loving mother who was happiest when she was with her children and her grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Reading.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 am on Jan. 2 at St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St., Reading, with a reception to follow at the parish hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eleanor's life. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the United Spinal Association at 54 Nashua St., Milford MA 03055.
