Reading's Iole Serrecchia Passes Away

Iole (Domenici) Serrecchia of Reading passed away on Friday, Jan. 18 at Wingate at Reading. She was 92 years of age.

Born on November 6, 1926 in Boston, Iole was the loving daughter of the late Paul Domenici and Josephine (Marcelli) Domenici. Iole was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Iole was a dedicated homemaker. She was loyal and devoted to her family. She was especially known for homemade pasta, cooking and celebrating family meals.

Iole was the beloved wife of the late John R. Serrecchia. She was the devoted mother of John J. Serrecchia and his wife MaryLou, Marian Muse and her late husband Peter, and Joseph P. Serrecchia. Iole was the cherished grandmother of Matthew Muse, Ashley Muse, Whitney Ledoux and Erika Serrecchia. She was the beloved sister of the late Americo Domenici, the late Amando Domenici and Lena Solviletti. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Iole's Eternal Life will be held on Friday, January 25th at 10 am at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment at Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Iole's memory to Care Dimensions Hospice 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923 or St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children.
