Reading's Roz Robinson Passes Away

She spent the majority of her teaching years working for the Stoneham Public School system.

Rosemonde E. “Roz” Robinson, a long-time resident of Reading, died Dec. 7 at Artis Senior Living of Reading. She was 92 years of age. Roz was born in Malden, Massachusetts on November 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Herbert and Rose (Mondieu) LaFleur.

Roz was a graduate of Presentation of Our Lady High School. She then attended and graduated Sum Cum Laude from Rivier College in New Hampshire. Roz went on to teach school, starting her teaching career in Hanover, New Hampshire. She spent the majority of her teaching years working for the Stoneham Public Schools system where she taught foreign languages to include French, Spanish and Latin – Latin admittedly being her favorite.

Roz enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, and shared many adventures with her teacher friends throughout the years. One of her favorite places to visit was Paris, which she visited on multiple occasions. Roz loved to tell stories, especially of her youth and her travels. Those who knew Roz will always remember her “stories”. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Roz had a very generous spirit.
