The Cuthberts are looking for a boy to help work on their farm in the fictional town of Avonlea, however the orphanage mistakenly sends Anne -- an imaginative, talkative and eager-to-please teenager -- who quickly changes the lives of everyone she touches.
Anne of Green Gables - The Musical was composed by Canadians Don Harron and Norman Campbell with lyrics by Elaine Campbell and Mayor Moore. The production has been performed before Queen Elizabeth II and has also toured across Canada, the United States, and Europe. It is the longest consecutive performance in the world having been performed every summer since 1965, headlining the Charlottetown Festival, at the Confederation Centre of the Arts on Prince Edward Island.
