Residents Report Harassing Phone Calls

This is an excerpt from the North Reading police log for April 4-5.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the from Monday through Tuesday. The information is open to the public.

Monday

At 10:17 a.m., police stopped a Ford Explorer registered to a New Hampshire owner for having an unregistered trailer carrying diesel fuel. The trailer was towed from the scene for safety issues, and the owner was cited.

At 3:19 p.m., police responded to an Edgewood Apartments address to investigate a breaking and entering report. A caller told police that the apartment was entered sometime in the past three hours.

At 6:30 p.m., a resident reported receiving a harassing phone call.

At 7:17 p.m., police responded to a motor-vehicle accident in the parking lot at Edgewood Apartments. No injuries were reported.

At 9:30 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Park Street near the . No injuries were reported.

Tuesday

At 2:07 a.m., police and the North Reading Fire Department responded to a medical-aid call at a Stonecleave Road address.

At 9:53 a.m., a resident reported a possible ongoing domestic issue.

At 1:36 p.m., a caller reported a flatbed truck parked by 190 Main St. was creating a traffic hazard. The truck was gone on arrival, according to police.

At 1:56 p.m., a resident reported receiving a threatening phone call. The caller reportedly said, “One, two, three, four, don’t answer the door.” There was no caller ID available to trace the call, according to police.

At 7:38 p.m., police received a call from a Beverly resident reporting possible fraud.

At 11:30 p.m., a resident reported a possible domestic issue.
