Rising Stars Seeks Choreographer

Rising Stars Productions seeks an experienced musical theater choreographer for its summer musical theater intensive. Applicants must have the following qualifications:

Experience working with children
Experience with musical theater choreography
Ability to be flexible with teaching plans
Ability to teach a large group of students (ages 10-15) with limited dance experience in a fast-paced, intensive environment
Ability to work and communicate well with directors and other staff members

Responsibilities include:
Plan and teach choreography and blocking (dramatic direction) for a wide variety of musical selections
Lead physical warm ups at the beginning of each camp day, and/or as requested by the directors
Provide updates to the directors and/or stage manager at the end of each camp day regarding students’ progress, rehearsal requests, concerns, etc.
Assist the stage manager and intern with any backstage needs for the dress rehearsal and final performance, if necessary

Rising Stars North Musical Theater Intensive will take place June 5-9 at Dane St. Church, 10 Dane St, Beverly MA
Required hours: 8:30 am - 2:30 pm
Final performance: Friday at 7:00 pm, call time 5:30 pm
Stipend: $300
