Robert Miller Passes Away
Bob was a deeply religious man and a devout Roman Catholic who regularly attended the 4 p.m. mass at St. Athanasius.

Robert J. Miller, 87, of Reading died suddenly on Sunday, Dec. 10th.
Devoted husband of the late Patricia (Mangan), father of Robert J Miller of Reading, MA, Karen Timmons of Colts Neck, New Jersey and Michelle Sieminski of Kalden Kirschen, Germany. Brother of the late Harold Miller and the late Helen ("Letty") Kretz. Cherished grandfather of Danielle, Melissa, Alli, Paul and Emily. Bob also leaves behind his friend and brother-in-law, Bob Kretz of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, loving nieces and nephews, and granddaughters Kara and Megan Miller.
Bob was the oldest son of Harold and Helen Miller, born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He married his high school sweetheart 'Pat' in 1951 and Bob began his career in the US Air Force. He later completed his undergraduate business degree in the evenings at St. Peters College and went on to a successful career as a senior executive at Tenneco. Bob and Pat moved to Belford, New Jersey to raise their 3 children and later retired to Port St. Lucie, FLA. Bob relocated in 2016 to Reading to live with his son, Bobby and his devoted daughter-in-law, Kathy Reinold.

Bob was a deeply religious man and a devout Roman Catholic who regularly attended the 4 p.m. mass at St. Athanasius in Reading. Despite a steady snowfall on Saturday, he attended mass and received communion on the eve of his death. The family would like to thank the many welcoming parishioners of St. Athanasius who always greeted him with a smile at mass and extended their hand in friendship.
A Funeral Mass Celebrating Bob's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill Street, Reading. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will follow at Wood End Cemetery, Franklin Street, Reading.
