Rotary Club Postpones Annual Polar Plunge

The district-wide event will now be held in March.

It turns out the region’s recent snowfall has, ironically, forced the postponing of an annual Polar Plunge.

Rotary District 7930, of which the Reading club is a part, is postponing its annual Polar Plunge that was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6.

“With all the snow and frigid temperatures, it seemed prudent to focus on the health and safety of all involved. ” according to the group’s website.

Looking on the bright side of the postponement, “we now have the opportunity to continue to raise money for polio and enhance our ability to reach the $125,000 goal before the big day,” the website notes.
