Ruth G. (Smith) Bourgeois, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Thursday Feb. 1, at her home at Bear Hill Nursing Home. She was 99. Ruth was a life long resident of Reading. She was the daughter of the late James Smith and Sylvia (Burbine) Smith. Ruth was loving daughter, wife, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Ruth was the wife of the late Alphonse Bourgeois. She was the sister of the late William Smith and Gladys Cacciola. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Monday, Feb. 5th, 2018 in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. Reading from 11-1 pm. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available. Interment will be Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
