Sam's Bistro now Fusilli Cucina of Reading
New name but same owner with delicious Italian fare.

Reading’s Italian food scene just got a little bit tastier at Fusilli Cucina at 107 Main Street in Reading. The restaurant, formerly known as Sam’s Bistro, is still owned by Michael Palmer, who also operates Stearns and Hill in Melrose.
“The change of name from Sam’s to Fusilli Cucina was planned as Sam’s approached its five-year anniversary,” Palmer said. “We wanted a family-friendly atmosphere where people can gather to enjoy traditional Italian American food. In making these menu changes, we also changed the dining room a bit.”
Palmer wanted to bring high quality, homemade pasta and Italian fare to the community at a reasonable price. He stressed that many of Sam’s Bistro’s favorites, such as grilled pork chops and prime rib are still on the menu, so there is something for everyone. You will still find the same leather banquettes and attentive service.
