School Committee Adopts New Concussion Policy

The Reading School Committee approved an extensive new concussion policy last night, and received the annual MCAS report for 2011.

The Reading School Committee met on Dec. 5 in the Superintendent’s conference room at Reading Memorial High School and unanimously approved an extensive new concussion policy.

The committee also took the following actions: the Facilities Naming Policy was sent back for further revisions, the committee approved the draft of the statement of interest to apply for a building grant with the Massachusetts School Building Authority and The Friends of Reading Wrestling donated 40 singlets and a large new wrestling mat to the program. The committee also heard the 2011 MCAS report.
