From School Committee To Voters, Thank You

Chair praises work of Yes For Reading, pledges to do their best for Reading schools.

Dear friends and neighbors,

On behalf of the Reading School Committee, the School Administration, Teachers and Staff I would like to offer a warm and grateful thank you to the voters of Reading for their overwhelming support of the Proposition 2 ½ operating override request on the April 3rd, 2018 town ballot.

Additionally, we are extremely grateful to the Yes for Reading Committee led by Erin Gaffen and Michele Sanphy for all their organization and extremely hard work that made this positive outcome possible for the students of Reading.

At no time did we take this request lightly, and I sincerely promise the community that we will fulfill the commitments outlined in our request. Additionally, we will continue to be judicious in our deliberation of future budgets and management of our superior school system.

Again, thank you to all that voted and participated in this process.
