School Community Invited to Annual METCO/Reading BBQ
This year's event will take place on Thursday, August 20.

It is time for the 8th Annual METCO/Reading BBQ & Pool Party and the organizers want to celebrate with all of their Reading schools families.
The gathering begins around 4 p.m. at 110 Beaver Road in Reading. The BBQ will begin around 5.
Swim Coach Lois Margusen will again life guard during the event.

This event is pot luck, so let the organizers know what you would like to bring, and bring in disposable containers. They will supply the meat, veggie burgers, and rolls.
If you plan to come early, please bring drinks, a favorite munchie, a salad, or a veggie treat.

Please do not bring any dairy, pork, bacon, or seafood and do bring the ingredient list of your contribution. If you plan to come later, please bring a munchie or a dessert.

This year, a few representatives from school clubs will also share some of their activities, including the Robockets and Technology.
To support Grammy Barbara’s Light the Night Team, they are also asking attendees to bring their empty deposit bottles and cans. The proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
