Several Car Break-Ins Reported, Accident Sends 1 to Hospital

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the from Friday through Monday. The information is open to the public.

Arrests

John Waring, 34, of 55 Clark St., Franklin, NH, was arrested Friday and charged with disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property less than $250, and assault.

Jennifer Provost, 27, of 38 Main St., North Reading, was arrested Monday and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, second offense.

Friday

At 3:09 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Railroad Avenue.

At 7:44 p.m., police confiscated Class D narcotics and a glass smoking pipe during a motor-vehicle stop on Washington Street.

Saturday

At 1:15 a.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at an Edgewood Apartments address.

At 3:52 a.m., police responded to a report of loud music and noise at an Edgewood Apartments address.

At 9:16 a.m., a Wilmington man was issued a summons on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (expired license) after a traffic stop near Town Hall.

Sunday

At 1:55 a.m., police responded to a medical-aid call at an Audubon Road address.

At 2:33 p.m., a North Reading woman was issued a summons for possession of a Class C drug.

Monday

At 8:26 a.m., police received a report from a Redmond Avenue resident that his vehicle was entered sometime overnight.

At 9:06 a.m., an employee of Royal Air Systems reported that three tires on his work vehicles were punctured sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. The cost to replace the tires was reported at $1,000.

At 9:16 a.m., a Gould Street resident reported that his truck was entered overnight and a jar with approximately $10 in change was taken.

At 11:40 a.m., a Gould Street resident reported that two vehicles were entered overnight.

At 12:35 p.m., a Leland Road resident reported that two vehicles were entered overnight. No property was taken, according to police.

At 1:01 p.m., police received a report that a high school van parked by the maintenance shed at was damaged over the weekend.

At 1:15 p.m., police received a report of a possible shoplifting attempt involving two subjects at on Main Street. One party was issued a verbal no-trespassing order, and certified orders will be issued, according to police.

At 2:57 p.m., a Greenbriar Drive resident reported that his vehicle was entered overnight, and a GPS unit, stereo, Bose headphones and a USB cord were missing.

At 6:38 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident with air-bag deployment at Main Street and Burroughs Road. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and one person was transported to an area hospital.
