Sharon Cummings Passes Away

Sharon M. (Runco) Cummings of Reading passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 72 years of age.

Born on November 30, 1945 in Revere, Sharon was the loving daughter of the late Francis N. Runco and Dorothy (McLaughlin) Runco. Sharon is a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sharon was an Executive House Keeper for Wyndham Hotels for many years. She cherished her family. They were first and foremost in her life. Time spent with loved ones was most important.

Sharon is the beloved wife of the late Daniel E. Cummings. She is the devoted mother of Kevin Cummings and his wife Daryle Hillsgrove, Brian Cummings and his wife Alana, Tracy Puopolo and her husband Adam and the late Lisa Cummings. The cherished grandmother of Ryan, Tyler, Jason, Julia, Nicholas, Matthew and Andrew, Sharon is the dear sister of Donna West and her late husband Ed, Dennis Runco and Robert Runco and his wife Beth. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. Reading, Friday, August 10th at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Sharon's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Thursday, August 9th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants are available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
