Reading, MA - A shelter in place has been issued for the Wood End Elementary School shortly before 2 p.m., according to Superintendent John Doherty.
The shelter in place was issued due to an outside police investigation in the Franklin Street area.
The school has been deemed safe and secure by the Reading Police Department, according to Doherty. Additional police are in the area as a precaution.
