Students Wear Jammies for Japan

Hood School raises nearly $700 to support earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.

Students and staff could be seen walking the halls of the recently, but they weren't taking any naps.

Members of the school community raised nearly $700 in one day to support earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan, principal Glen McKay said. Many students donated $2 to wear pajamas to school.

"This event was a great learning opportunity for our children — giving to those in need outside of our community," McKay said.
