Quannapowitt Players of Reading presents annual new plays festival November 27 - December 6

Quannapowitt Players’ holiday tradition continues with its fourth annual Suburban Holidays New Plays Festival. Experience five new plays representing different holidays - all written by aspiring playwrights who have seen too many versions of “A Christmas Carol” and wanted to shake things up!

From November 27 – December 6, 2015, each performance will feature the following five plays with local actors and directors:

“Thanksgiving Lite” written by Mary Fitzpatrick
Directed by Donna Corbett
Featuring Linda Burtt, Phyllis Uloth, Margaret Healy, Sharon Dow, Christina Myint and Brian Sensale

“Stuck”
Written and Directed by Patrick Cleary
Featuring Joan Luz-Holt, David LeBahn, Amy Cook, Al Pirnie and Barbara Bourgeois

“Waiting for Santa”
Written by Cynthia Faith Arsenault
Directed by Ron Wackowski
Featuring David Perleman, Shawn Maguire, Matthew Garlin, Rachael Rabinovitz, Michelle Mount and Sandie McNeal

“Have a Very Merry, If Somewhat Apocalyptic, Christmas”
Written by Kymm Zuckert
Directed by Patrick Cleary
Featuring Demetra Tseckares, Kerry Anne Kilkelly, Kate Beattie, Mike Cherone, Chrissy Lewis, Wilson Belbin, Laura Pasquale, Glenn Wakeley and Jon Nuquist

“Silent Night”
Written by Walt Vail
Directed by Donna Corbett
Featuring Eric Linebargerand David LeBahn

Performances are November 27, 28 and 29, and December 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 55 Hopkins Street in Reading, Mass. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances start at 8 pm and the Sunday performances start at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 for season subscribers and $20 for general admission.
