Take A Walk To Benefit Mission Of Deeds
10th annual Walk & Fun Festival Sunday at Lake Quannapowitt.

If you think you were going for a walk Sunday, why not take one for a great cause.
The 10th annual Walk & Fun Festival to support the Mission of Deeds is Sunday at 11 a.m. at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield. The walk starts near the Gazebo. Enjoy music, food, and kids' activities, and of course a walk around the lake. And Patriots fans don't have to make a choice. The game will be live-streamed on a big screen television. The cost is $20 per person or $40 per family and provides access to all activities and the food court, as well as slush, popcorn, apples, water, and more.
With your registration comes t-shirts for the first 200 supporters to pre-register, kids' activities including a bouncy house, and appetizers from restaurants like Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Reading and Kings Bowl America in Lynnfield.

The walk is in memory of the Tony Triglione, founder of the Mission of Deeds. Triglione was a successful businessman and Winchester resident, when he founded Mission of Deeds in 1993. Having grown up poor himself, he was haunted by images of children and their mothers sleeping on floors and eating on milk crates because they could not afford to buy basic items such as beds, tables, and chairs.
Determined to improve the quality of life for these families, Triglione founded Mission of Deeds as a place where people could not only receive new beds and donated household essentials free of charge, but also be treated with kindness, respect, and compassion. Mission of Deeds serves thousands of families and individuals throughout Middlesex and Essex counties.
