Teen Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Reading Crash

A teen was hospitalized with serious injuries following an accident in Reading on Tuesday, according to police.

READING, MA — A 15-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries and the driver involved was arrested in a Tuesday crash, police said.

Police were called to Lowell Street on a report that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at 3:27 p.m.

Police arrived at the accident and found the teen suffering from injuries that "appeared to be serious but not life-threatening," according to a police statement. The teen was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The driver, Liam Robinson, 25, of Woburn, remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the investigation, police said. He was arrested and charged with driving after suspension for operating under the influence.

Police determined that Robinson was driving without a license because his license was previously suspended due to an arrest for driving under the influence.
