Thank you to Senator Jason Lewis for championing “An Act Relative to Ocean Ecology and Shark Protection.” This bill prohibits shark finning -- the slicing off of a shark’s fins, often while he is still alive. The shark is then thrown back into the ocean and sinks to a slow and painful death.
