The Young Women’s League of Reading partner with Burbank YMCA to support of local children

Reading-North Reading, June 2014 – The Young Women’s League of Reading, Inc., a philanthropic organization, benefiting individual charities, scholarships and social needs in Reading recently made a generous donation to the Burbank YMCA in support of providing a life changing summer camp experience for four local children.

I was thrilled to accept the donation on behalf of the children we serve,” commented Burbank Y Executive Director, Irene Collins.  “This year in particular, we are experiencing increased requests for support.  We are so grateful to The Young Women’s League of Reading for their generosity because it enables us to deliver on our mission and never turn anyone away for the inability to pay.”

“We are proud to partner with the Burbank Y and have the ability to make a direct impact on the lives of four Reading children by providing for a safe, fun and educational summer experience,” said YWL President Stefanie Walsh.
