Therese (Young) Blamire Passes Away
She worked for the Reading School lunch program at Killam, Joshua Eaton, and Reading Memorial High School.

Therese (Young) Blamire, a resident of Reading for 52 years, formerly of New York City and Miami, died June 17, at her home in Reading. She was 88.
Therese was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 20, 1929 the daughter of Ralph and Alma (Burby) Young. Therese grew up in Lawrence, graduated from Lawrence High School and attended McIntosh College. She worked for the Reading School lunch program at Killam Elementary School, Joshua Eaton Elementary School and Reading Memorial High School.
Therese was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Blamire. She was the devoted mother of Ellen Rubner of Reading, Nancy Quimby of Billerica and Bruce Blamire and his wife Virginia of Manchester NH. Loving grandmother of Danielle Blamire of Manchester NH.

Her funeral will be held from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday June 22 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading. Funeral home visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM.
