Tommy Kelly Passes Away

Thomasina A. “Tommy” (Simone) Kelly of Reading passed away on Jan. 17th. She was 90 years old.

Tommy worked for 25 years at Reading Internal Medicine, very involved in St. Agnes Parish in Reading, member of Cursillo in Methuen as well as an avid knitter and Red Sox fan.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Kelly. Mother of Robert Kelly and his wife Eileen of NY, Paul Kelly and his companion Sheryl Smith of North Reading, Mark Kelly and his wife Dianne of NH, Nancy Vardaro and her husband William of NH, Susan Sullivan and her husband Dan of Reading and the late Stephen Kelly. Sister of Peter Simone, Rita Hartfield and the late Grace Reardon, Joanne Yore, Joseph and Robert Simone. Grandmother of Brenna, Patrick, James, Kathleen, Matt, Leanne, Rob, Carolyn, Michael, Emily, Laura and Derek. Great grandmother of Paul, Leo and Marielle. Step grandmother of Rebecca, Katelyn and Jennifer. Tommy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home in North Reading on Saturday, Jan. 20th at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30 am. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4-8 pm. Interment private. Please omit flowers and make donations in Tommy’s name to St. Agnes Church.
