Two People Charged with Drug Possession
The following information was supplied by the North Reading police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is a look at some of the calls handled by the from Tuesday through Thursday. The information is open to the public.
Arrests
At 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested Jeffrey M. Loesch, 24, 7 Eisenhaure Lane, North Reading, and charged him with possession of Class A and B substances and obstruction of justice/evidence destruction and Jennifer D. Cantone, 27, 61 Moraine, Apt. 6, Belmont, and charged her with possession of a Class B substance. Police made the arrests on Gloria Lane after an officer spotted “activity” in the woods off Gloria Lane.

At 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested Michelle P. Barkhouse, 23, 444 Park St., North Reading, and charged her on a warrant, and Darryl F. Cadet, 22, 31 Henry Ave., Methuen, and charged him on two warrants. Police made the arrests during a traffic stop on Main Street.

- At 10:53 a.m., a Country Club Road resident called to report someone damaged her mailbox and planter.
- At 12:55 p.m., a Park Street resident reported that his dog got out of the house and that when he went to retrieve the dog, a passerby in a car told him that a woman in another car had stopped, picked up the dog and left the area.
- At 2:23 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported a motorist struck a deer. The Department of Public Works picked up the deer.
Wednesday, Sept. 7
- At 8:12 a.m., an officer cited a North Reading motorist for failing to stop for a school bus on Main Street.
- At 12:14 p.m., a Darrell Drive resident reported someone stole a bronze duck over the holiday weekend. The resident reported that the bronze duck has been stolen several times in the past.
- At 2:44 p.m., police received a call about a single-car crash at Elm Street and MacIntyre Drive. The driver, a Middleton woman, was taken to Beverly Hospital and her car was towed.
- At 6:20 p.m., a Lowell Road resident called police about receiving scam phone calls about her winning a sweepstakes. She wanted to inform police of the calls.
- At 8:34 p.m., a Lowell Road resident called police about loud banging noises coming from a neighbor’s apartment. Police responded and found the noise was coming from a small child, who visits once a week. The caller wasn’t completely satisfied and was going to talk to the management company about the noise.
Thursday, Sept. 8
- At 9:21 a.m., a Park Street resident told police she was bitten by a dog last night. Animal control planned to follow up.
- At 2:32 p.m., police received a call from Lowell Road after an evicted tenant left behind two dogs. The owner returned to get the pets.
- At 9:13 p.m., a Liberty Lane resident reported two carloads of kids running through the street and neighborhood. Police arrived and found it was kids toilet-papering an athlete’s house.
