UPDATE: Suspicious Package on Commuter Rail was Unattended Bag

Fifteen to 20 minute delays for train, which was briefly stopped.

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning, there were reports of a suspicious package on board a commuter rail train stopped at Tuttle Street in Wakefield.

The bag ended up being merely an unattended bag and not a suspicious package, according to MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo.

The MBTA reported that the Haverhill Line train 263 (7:50 a.m. departure from North Station) was stopped before Wakefield Station because of police action and Transit Police were being called to the scene.
