Veterans Day Breakfast Leads Off Saturday Events
Masonic Lodge will host ceremonies as cold weather forces events indoors.

A release from Matthew Kraunelis, Reading's Director of Administrative Services
Each year on November 11 the Town of Reading gathers to honor its veterans. This year the Town of Reading’s Veterans Day Ceremony will again include a complimentary breakfast being organized by the Reading Public Services Department. Veterans, their families, friends and neighbors are invited to attend the Annual Veteran’s Day Breakfast to be held on Saturday from 9–10:30 am at the Masonic Lodge Hall at 110 Haven Street. Parking is available in the old Post Office parking lot. Please enter the parking lot from Sanborn Street. Entrance to the breakfast is on Linden Street. Following breakfast the traditional Veterans Day Services will be held at the Masonic Lodge.
The Ceremony begins promptly at 11 am with the National Anthem performed by the Reading Memorial High School Small Ensemble. Speakers for the event include Kevin Bohmiller, Veterans’ Services Officer, Father Stephen Rock, Saint Agnes Parish, John Arena, Chairman, Board of Selectmen and participation students from Joshua Eaton School as well as Reading Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Our honored guest is one of last surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen, Lt. Col. Enoch "Woody" Woodhouse.
